Ulysses Bartolo – Works Manager
With nearly 19 years at AX Construction and 29 years in the construction industry, Ulysses Bartolo, known as “Uhu” to his colleagues, brings significant expertise and dedication to every project. Starting his career at the age of 15, Ulysses has advanced from a crane driver to his current role as Works Manager, overseeing construction logistics and operations.
Ulysses’ career progression includes roles such as crane driver, site foreman, site supervisor, site manager, assistant operations manager, and finally, works manager. He completed his education up to the secondary level and holds various certifications, including a builder’s license, crane operator, safety training, fire marshal, first aider, and many other Industry certifications.
Throughout his career, Ulysses has been instrumental in many projects that have significantly shaped his professional journey. His contributions to the Valletta Cruise Port, the new Parliament Building, and the Ombudsman Offices underscore his impact on key infrastructure developments. The restoration of is-Suq tal-Belt showcases his versatility in handling diverse architectural endeavours. Ulysses’ work on AX The Palace, Rosselli – AX Privilege, AX The St John Hotel, AX ODYCY Hotel Lido, AX Care’s Hilltop, Simblija Gardens, and KPMG’s new offices in Pieta highlights his role in transforming prominent commercial and residential spaces. Currently, he is leading the prestigious Verdala Terraces development, further cementing his reputation as a leading figure in the industry.
