The Marnisi Wine Estate, owned by Marsovin Group, is a development designed to elevate the wine guest experience in Marsaxlokk, blending state-of-the-art construction with the timeless elegance of winemaking. A key feature of the project is a tunnel carved directly into the rock, connecting the new building to the existing winery, symbolizing the seamless integration of tradition and innovation envisioned for the guest experience.
The winery’s new structure, situated adjacent to Marsovin’s existing property, will serve as a welcoming space for visitors, immersing them in the rich winemaking heritage. The single-story building, with a basement, mezzanine, and elevated area, features a standout outer façade. This façade employs the “indenting” technique, adding a unique visual element to the exterior.
AX Construction began work post-excavation, focusing on foundation construction and using traditional columns, beams, and brickwork to give the building its classic form. Precast elements, like predalle and planks, accelerated progress, while arches added a nod to the winery’s aesthetic.
With construction works completed in July 2024, the project now enters its final phase, focusing on interior finishes and guest experience areas. Expected to be completed in 2025, the Marnisi Winery will offer an unforgettable experience, honouring both winemaking history and modern craftsmanship.
